Directions:
Bring to a boil
1 ½ cup raisins
1 ½ cup water
½ Tablespoon butter
Let cool and then stir in
1 beaten egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix in a separate bowl
2 2/3 cups sifted all purpose flour
1 ½ cups white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 ½ teaspoon baking soda
Grease pan(s) and fill half full
Bake at 350 for one hour
