In Time

We went to see in time last weekend, and it was quite good. We were a little worried because it had only been in the theaters for two weeks and it was already down to two showings a day, but we here pleasantly suprised it was quite good. I kept expecting Justin Timberlake to start dancing as I have expected that in everything I have seen him in since N'SYNC. All in all I would definitely recommend this movie.
Gigantic Picture Update

I did some picture updating for the first time in quite some time.

First I did a picture update for the Big Chill. Brie and I went with my mother to see the outdoor Michigan hockey game. It was quite cold so we were very bundled up. But it was worth it to see Michigan trounce Michigan State.

Second update was our trip to Holiday Nights at Greenfield Village. It was also very cold that night. But again with the right outfit we had a great time. We got to see Santa. Ride a Merry Go Round, and have some hot chocolate.

Third update was our New Years. We went to a party at Megan's house were their was tons of delicious foods.

Next update was for the Basement Flood. A nice couple of shots of the river in the backyard. A good looking shot of us pulling up our carpet. And the water everywhere.

Abe's 31st Birthday Party is the next update on the list. We had burgers and good times. Abe wrestled some kids at the end. He's a wild man.

Chris and Amber's Wedding was in Cancun, and while we were there we celebrated our 1 year wedding aniversery.

And an actual timely update of our Trip to Florida last weekend.
Game Night

Tonight we decided to play a couple of games that we got for Christmas. We played some Battleship and some Lego Hogwarts. Battle ship has changed a little since I was a kid. Now the pieces aren't all in strait lines. And there are island where captured men stand on that you have to find last. All in all still pretty fun. Lego Hogwarts was interesting to figure out it had a lot of weird rules, then sometimes it just told you to make up rules as you go a long, and some pieces that it just never told you where to use them, but did have those pieces on the front of the box. Advertising that it came with a tiny Ron, Harry, Hermione, and Draco. But I had built it like two weeks ago and had been looking forward to playing it since then. It was good times.
Picture Update

Finally put the pictures from the wedding on my website. My mother has been asking for this since the wedding. Also back in 2005 D3 had a BBQ and I never put up pictures from that either. I think that one was because my camera was stolen right after this and for a while I thought these pictures were still on it when it went.
Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone. As a spacial treat I worked extra hard today to get my zombie flash animation done today. I forgot to bring a microphone with me to work today but I did have a pair of stereo headphones which apparently do work as a mic. Who thought that was still a thing. but I am very pleased with how it turned out. And if you are wondering why your picture looks so old in it. It is because I started this like 3 years ago. My next one hopefully wont take that long again.
Art Prize

Brie and I went to Art Prize last weekend in Grand Rapids. Art prize is an art competition that spreads throughout Grand Rapids. Over 1700 entries, so no we did not make it to all of them. First off we met up with the Dwyer and had some lunch at a little breakfast place. Then we headed off to the art prize head quarters so they could get a poster and I decided to get a button, because I have now decided to start collecting buttons. After that we split off from them because they had some errands to run. So we went to where the winner of art prize was, but it was an hour and a half wait to see that piece. So we saw some others in that building but did not make it to the winner. We wondered a couple more places in the city and saw some cool things. All in all a very fun day.
Computer Troubles

Had a few computer related problems lately. My laptop hard drive took a dive on me. I put it in my desktop to try and get some of the files off of it, but it told me it had errors and needed to be formatted before I could use it. So I downloaded a program off the internet and it took over 13 hours to scan the drive. But I was able to get most of my data off of it. The next day while walking up to my desktop computer, I tried to move the mouse to use the computer and nothing happened. I thought that computer had died as well, but it turned out that just the monitor had died. So for a day the only way I could get to the internet was my ipod touch. Which thankfully still worked. Now I have my backup monitor in play and my new hard drive arrived today.
Chicago Trip

Brie and I went to Chicago a weekend ago, so I could use my wedding gift from Brie. Which because everyone I have told we were going did not know, she got me tickets to the Chicago Fire. We got a hotel right off Michigan Ave, which was fun to drive to. Brie ran in to check in, and I drove around the block a couple of times, trying to find the parking structure associated with the Congress Plaza Hotel. It was just labeled Park 1 never did it mention Congress Plaza. People in Chicago love to honk, if you wait to long to turn right on red they honk at you. But an hour after getting into Chicago we parked and were in the hotel. We went out to dinner at an artist cafe just up the street. The ice cream sundae was excellent.

Saturday morning we got up and tried to get on the internet to see what was in the town to do, but when a hotel in Chicago says "internet available in room" it does not mean free internet. But we really needed to know what time things opened and what attractions were where, so we bought the bullet. We ended up going to the Planetarium first and seeing a show about stars narrated by Whoopie Goldberg. After the Planetarium we were going to the Aquarium to eat and see some fish, but the line outside was at least an hour long. So we ended up going to the natural history museum and had some lunch there. At 5 we went to the soccer game. Which was Fire vs the Revolution. New England ended up winning in the last 10 minutes but it was a pretty good game. Turns out Brie got me a double header the second game was morelia vs the pumas. We did not stay for much of that game the noise maker came out and were quite annoying. We stopped by a dance event when we got back into town that was just a forty foot by forty foot dance floor that was just packed. And after a 90 degree day, everyone smelled great. So we did not stay long at all.

On Sunday morning we went for a little jog. And then decided to go see a movie that was not playing in Michigan, The Kids Are All Right. It was a pretty good movie. It was well worth the mole and a half walk we had to go to see it. When we got out of the movie it was raining pretty hard so we ended up eating lunch right next to the movie theater. When we finished lunch the sun was back out, and we headed back to our car. And were on our way back home.
Wedding License

So apparently getting married is a lot like getting a gun. Their is a three day waiting period for either. Yesterday I went down to the county building to get my Marriage License, and it was a pretty painless process. Had to fill out some forms and raise my right hand and swear something about marriage being awesome. Then I find out I have to come back later because they have a waiting period. Just thought that seemed a little bit funny.
Another Dexter Ann Arbor Run

This year Brie and I decided to run the 10K in the Dexter Ann Arbor run. We were shooting for an hour and thirty minutes, and we were very happy when we finished with a time of one hour and seventeen minutes. We decided to run together so it was be more fun and would have someone to talk to and comment on the sometimes rediculous outfits people decided to run in. The weather was a big factor in our time because the humidity and the temperature had dropped drastically from the previous week. So it was quite pleasant to run in.

We were planning to go to taste of Ann Arbor after the run but then some very cold rain started up. So we decided to go out to breakfast with my father, who also ran in the Dexter Ann Arbor run, but in the 5K. We went to Uptown Coney Island and I had some waffles. It was a good day.
